Just a stone’s throw from the main roads and the town, at the end of all the trails, lies the Šerug family’s homestead surrounded by a stream and forest. There used to be a mill here, today we have hospitably opened the door to all who want peace, clean and unspoiled nature and delicious home-made food. The kitchen is home to buckwheat dishes. Cream soup with buckwheat porridge and mushrooms, buckwheat štruklji, buckwheat mash with sour milk, which are served for breakfast. We can’t do without home-made buckwheat bread with walnuts. All the bread is baked at home, woven into buns, baked bread. Soups of all kinds will satisfy vegetarian desires in the company of buckwheat or cheese strudels with mushrooms. For meat lovers, we prepare a typical Dolenjska dish Fantovsko pečenko, rabbit in creamy vegetable sauce, veal from a pot, sewn roast, crispy roasted pork ribs, stuffed home-made chicken, grilled roast, roasted trout from home-made stream… We use only home-grown food in a human and nature-friendly way, as this is the only way to satisfy the most demanding eater like ourselves. We feed the animals with home-grown food, as a result the quality of the meat is higher, which is unfortunately a rarity on the tables today.
